Girl Talk: talk with Ștefana Teodoroiu
Share
One of our dreams for Libréa is to gather around the brand a handful of cool people, true sources of inspiration, whose values intertwine with ours and who tell our story further, in the characteristic style. That's how I met Ștefana Teodoroiu :)
Who is Stefana Teodoroiu?
I am a man with a great love for nature and natural things, with a great appreciation for small gestures and a desire to bring more sensitivity to the world.
How did you become an influencer and what topics do you like to communicate on?
I don't know exactly when I became because I'm writing on BLOGS and I've been posting on YouTube since I was in high school, back when even girls in the US weren't making money from it, so it happened gradually for me and I basically grew up with the industry. I love to communicate about everything related to nature (from gardening to pets and foster), personal style & beauty, home decor, self care, practically all my passions are also present online, I can't limit myself to a single niche.
What do you like most about your job?
The relationships you can create with social media: my best friends are women I met through the work I do, I have a lot of interactions with cool people I wouldn't have met if I wasn't working in this branch.
What are the challenges of women in Romania today?
I personally feel that internalized misogyny remains one of the biggest challenges. From the serious stuff like street harassment to the smaller things that add up have a pretty big impact too.
Isn't the issue of menstruation still a bit taboo in Romania?
Definitely, but that's what we're working on, to change that mentality. I have been talking openly about the menstrual cycle and the reproductive system for many years, but not once have I heard how "disgusting" I am for talking about it publicly, and yes, from women, unfortunately.
How did you find out about Librea? Have you tried Librea menstrual underwear?
I don't remember exactly how I found out, but I'm glad I did. I use the Libréa menstrual underwear and I really like the comfort it gives me, the advantage in terms of sustainability and the ease with which it cleans.
Do you have any advice for women who are hesitant to try the new alternatives (menstrual panties, cups for example)?
Yes: there is no one-size-fits-all method that works for all of us. To try all the alternatives, if they can, until they find the right one for them.
What could help women feel better about their bodies?
More open communication to remove the shame we feel about certain parts of our bodies, stop comparing ourselves to each other, both physically and spiritually/materially. But I admit, it's easy to say, a little hard to do, but any small step forward will add another brick to it, I'm sure.
